Introduction:
It is the responsibility of every building designer, contractor, consultant, owner and developer to consider the role of embodied carbon in their project's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Embodied carbon, the GHG emissions arising from manufacturing, transportation, installation, maintenance, and disposal of building materials, represents a significant portion of global GHG emissions.
